It is great gift, which I was very happy with.
It makes you pause and think about where it all began. The spinning wheel was used as the starting off point, and I can follow the common thread with the dates and events that are all on point. It brings to mind all the different things and the many people that I have been around.
We have had it on the wall for about a month and it makes me so happy to see people stop to study it up close and look for themselves in the piece.
The piece has just come home with me and now I have more time to look at all the details up close. Every little photo and text has its own story and it offers a really fine picture of what I've spent my time dong for the last 50 years, both in my private life and in my business career.
My father didn't want anything at all for his 50 year anniversay. However, he was very happy and surprised when he was given the portrait, and it was a very good gift because he is the man, who has everything.
Seeing his whole life's work visually holds great value. To him, as well as to others who understand the history.
From the beginning, it has been nice that Lise from brand-ART worked in a very structured way. She has been good at keeping us involved and discussing colours, symbols, contents etc., while simultaneously sending us status pictures during the whole process.
She has continously had a good grasp and control of things, and made sure that we got the output we wanted.
It took some energy and strength to dig out materials for the collage, but lucky for us we had a lot scrapbooks and photos. This meant spending some time on it, but it has been worth it and the result was really good
It is clear that Lise has put some thought into the composition of the picture, which makes a great deal of sense when you notice all of the little details that keep appearing. It's a picture you will never finish discovering.
There is no doubt that what we're dealing with here is an"uldjyde" and a man with a great, long resume.
