brand-ART provides businesses, organizations and private individuals with the opportunity of having - or recreating - a piece of art worth more than a thousand words.

A piece of art where you can mirror yourself in your own or easily recognisable DNA material. Where you can see firsthand words and symbols of the core values or milestones that matter to you.

It is a way in which you can acknowledge and anchor you past and obtain an ubiquitous tool for dialogue and pensiveness, which will help you establish new points of orientation for the future.

Why do I make DNA-art?

Following a number of years in Switzerland, I moved back to Denmark but felt foreign, confused and rootless. I was highly aware of the significance of being anchored to a country, a culture - in a life where I could feel that I found my rightful place. But how do you ever find your right place in a world that is constantly changing?

Whenever I myself have doubts about what direction to follow, I immerse myself in my journals, photos, calendars, letters and other different kinds of "analogue material", which I have luckily saved. To me the analogue material has another kind of value than if I was flicking through my folders on the computer, because in that instance I would be "drowning" in information and easily led astray. On the other hand, the physical and "slow media" makes it possible for me to hold focus and immerse myself. I can retrieve the common thread and have help in understanding my choices and  maintain my values, so I don't stray too far afield when I continously  have to change direction.

In the same way I help individuals, managers, companies and organisations acknowledge and anchor their DNA so that everyday they can have a visible starting off point to help them maintain their values and strategy, or even go in a whole new direction.

Together we will find important photos, symbols or texts and render some of the digital media into analogue collage materials, which I in turn will process into a collective piece of art. A piece of art that won't simply be put on a shelf like a book or saved in a subfolder on the computer, but one that conveys important stories to employees, customers and collaborators every single day.
